Grace Fellowship is a Family of Churches: (Saskatoon | Warman | Evergreen)

Grace 101 Class

Our Grace 101 class is designed to lay a Gospel foundation for all followers of Jesus to grow in the knowledge of who God is, what the gospel is, what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life, and what it looks like to live a holy and gospel-centered life for the glory of God. This course is for everyone and we hope that every partner in Grace Fellowship will go through this at some point. This training is also open to others from other local churches who have a desire for this Gospel-centered training. God does amazing things when people gather together to pursue Him in the context of community.

Lots of Christians talk about the gospel, but how many really understand and know how to apply it to their lives? Our prayer is that through this life-changing training both the new Christian and the seasoned follower of Jesus can experience gospel renewal. By seeing the implications of the Good News of Jesus, lives and churches can be transformed at the heart level, not just have behavioral modification. The Gospel and finding our place in God’s story, should truly shape every area of our lives.

This Grace 101 – 9 month development track will:

  • Lay a foundation for a Gospel-centered life.
  • Train participants in what it means to be a disciple of Jesus as a part of a local church.
  • Equip participants in making, maturing, and multiplying disciples of Jesus.

Requirements for Participants

  • A desire to grow in understanding of the Gospel, the Bible, the Church, and Discipleship
  • Read the book, The Prodigal God, in preparation for the sessions.

The Sessions:

1. The Church: God’s vision, purpose, and values

In this session, we will consider the creation and design and purpose of the church in God’s plan. In seeing that the church is designed by and for the Gospel, we will look at roles, opportunities, and calling as gifted members of the Body of Christ.

2. What is the Gospel?

We want to anchor everything on the glory of the gospel of the grace of God in Jesus. The gospel is the air we breathe and the fountain from which all discipleship flows. We want everyone to have a clear understanding of the difference between religion and the gospel of Jesus.
